Breakfast is quintessential a big part of my day. Breakfast is the first meal of the day eaten after waking from the night's sleep, usually in the morning. The word in English refers to breaking the fasting period of the previous night.
Culturally breakfast is very different especially in Italy. So what is a typical Italian breakfast you ask?
Italian breakfast (prima colazione) consists of caffe' latte (hot milk with coffee) or coffee with bread or rolls with butter and jam. A cookie-like rusk hard bread, called fette biscottate, and cookies are commonly eaten. Children drink caffe' d'orzo, hot chocolate, plain milk, or hot milk with very little coffee.
Breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period. It replenishes your supply of glucose to boost your energy levels and alertness, while also providing other essential nutrients required for good health.
Breakfast ideas
* eggs
* French toast, waffles, or pancakes ( try buckwheat banana pancakes, my favourite).
* cinnamon porridge and milk, (alternative milk such as almond, oat and cashew milk also my favourite)
*Yoghurt with fruits in season or nuts (my favourite coconut yoghurt)
Breakfast or clean eating is for you to change your mind set on how you feed your body.
Treat it like a temple, it is the only body you have, it will repay you in ways you think were not possible.
In words of a very wise man "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food".
Nature heals, the physician is only natures assistant" (Hippocrates)
So lets make it simple and break it down to two choices;
Choose foods that provide you with the best possible support biochemically and energetically for health and wellbeing.
Also choose foods that are irresistibly delicious and colourful.

It has been a while. I hope you are all hanging in there in lockdown, where ever you are in Australia. Checking in to see how you are. How are you feeling? In your body, in your heart?
We are at crossroads in human history at the moment. Its epic and its intense. And each of us will contribute in huge ways the direction we end up as a collective.
We contribute with our emotions, our frequency or vibration, the actions we do or don't take. The words we speak or don't speak. Whether we are anchoring feelings of separation or feelings of unity.
The one thing that makes us all the same. Our Humanity. Know that everyone has their unique circumstances and guidance system, and every choice is valid at this time. Not an easy task to accept and surrender to people's choices if they differ from our own, as it can challenge us and our view of the world in uncomfortable ways. But acceptance is necessary and its the only way through these dark days.
Instead of focusing on what other people think and believe,
turn your focus inward.
Listen to your own heart at this time. This time is incredibly potent for self healing and realisation, with evolutionary shifts and quantum leaps in consciousness available to us if we are receptive.
Turn. Off. The. TV. switch off from the news. If your adrenals are burnt out or anxiety is taking hold consider a mini detox for a few weeks. Maintaining a high vibration at the moment is essential to avoid being wiped out physically and energetically.
Turn ON your Heart. Be compassionate its the core of our essence. The part of you that feels all the feels and that goes soft and fuzzy when you pat your pet or cuddle you loved one. Accept and love yourself for who you are right now, not the person you wish you were. When we love ourselves unconditionally, we can love others unconditionally also.
Finally, amp up your self care practices. Spend time in nature where possible, walk around your neighbourhood, or sitting on a patch of green in your garden or nature strip is sufficient to ground and connect in the frequencies of the Earth. Even if its a pot plant is the only bit of green you can access right now, then get cozy with it and soak up its essence. Get out in the Sun on your skin every day , drink lots of clean purified water and clean up your diet. Fresh as can be and organic if you can access it. Get some extra sleep as we can now due to lockdown.
So fill you own cup while filling theirs. Make more time for hugs and kisses, call loved ones and connect with friends you've not spoken to for a while. Disconnect from artificial fear narrative which is amping up day by day and instead reconnect with nature and all of the wonderful humans and animals that you love. Laughter cuts through the fear so find ways to giggle and have fun.
